We are truly a staff of dedicated educators, committed to Montessori principles and eager to see your child succeed.
Each classroom is staffed with certified Montessori professionals and supported by a team of para-professionals, volunteers, parents, and families. We pride ourselves on staff retention and continuing professional development.

Nancy is our founder and Principal. She started DeColores in 1985. Nancy holds a Master's and Bachelor of Arts in Education, State Certifications in PreK-12, and all lower and upper Montessori certifications. We are very blessed for her dedication to our students, school, and the community.

Chris began at DeColores in 2015. She is the school’s Business Manager, but also assists where needed. Chris received a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication, a Master of Arts in Student Affairs in Higher Education, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration. Chris is married to her husband, Dan, and they have two children, Tara and Nolan, who both attended DeColores. When she has spare time, Chris enjoys dance, attending her children's numerous events, and being with family and friends.

Sharon Vanden Bosch has been a teacher at DeColores (formerly known as Fifth and Walnut Montessori :) ) for over thirty years. She loves teaching in a Montessori environment because of the amazing materials and child-centered philosophy. For fun, Sharon enjoys walking, reading, puzzles, shopping, cheering for her nieces and nephews in their sports endeavors, and spending time with family & friends. Sharon is the Vice Principal and 6-9 Directress. She has a Master of Arts in Education, Bachelor of Science in Montessori Education, and her PreK-3 Ohio Certification.

Liz began at DeColores in 2015 as the School’s Parent and Event Coordinator. She is also our Google Workspace Administrator. In addition to this role, she began in the Toddler Room in the 2019-20 school year. Liz earned her Associate of Science in Graphic Design and has also completed Montessori Training for Infant/Toddler Certification. She is married to her husband, Patrick and they have two sons, Michael & Brady, who both attended DeColores. Liz also has two dogs at home, Moe Joe & Oreo. She loves to watch her boys play sports in her spare time and loves to be involved in the community. She is currently the Vice President of the Greenville Athletic Boosters.

Lori is married to Woody Conway and they have 4 amazing Montessori-trained children. She has 3 grandchildren and is the mother of the 1st recorded Montessori merger. Seth Conway and Lauren Burns met as elementary students at Decolores and were married in 2023. She loves baking, gardening, tent camping, sup boarding, downhill skiing, and very long hikes in the woods. She is celebrating her 18th year of teaching at DeColores.

Chris Elliott has been a teacher at Decolores for 24 years. She moved to Greenville with her husband, Dan, over 30 years ago. She has a son, Drew, who attended DeColores from preschool through 8th grade, and a daughter, Isabel, who started in the toddler room through 8th Grade. Drew is grown and lives in Columbus with his wife, Natalie, son, Theo and daughter, Zeni. Isabel has graduated from college and is working in Indianapolis. Chris enjoys spending time with her family (especially her grandchildren!) and being outside with her horses, cats and dogs.​​

Julie began her teaching career at DeColores in 1997 after graduating from Xavier University. She received her bachelor’s degree in Montessori Education with a concentration in pre-primary (ages 3-6.) Although she spent the majority of time in the 3-6 classroom, she enjoyed the opportunity of teaching on each floor. Julie lives in Fort Recovery with her husband, Mike, and children Matt and Katie, who are Montessori graduates.

Shirley Vanden Bosch

Shirley is our dedicated toddler directess. She has been with DeColores for more than 20 years, and teaching for over 30. Shirley loves teaching toddlers because it’s so much fun to watch them explore and make discoveries. She earned her Associate of Arts, Professional Nanny Certificate, and also her Infant/Toddler Montessori Certification. In her spare time, her favorite thing to do is have fun with her nieces and nephews. She also enjoys singing, walking, and spending time with her family & friends.

Aimee Cameron Toddler Teacher

Aimee joined the toddler room in 2025. She has two boys, Jacob & Jamison who both attend DeColores. She has been married to her wonderful husband for six years and they just moved back from Florida. Aimee has been in early childhood education since 2021. Her hobbies include hiking, spending time with family and cooking!
3-6 Classrooms
Patty is another member of the 3-6 team. She began full-time in 2018 and quickly enrolled in a Montessori Teacher Education Program. Patty completed her program and earned her 3-6 Montessori Certificate. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She and her husband, Jason have been married over 20 wonderful years. They are blessed with two amazing sons, Samuel and Daniel. As a family, they enjoy traveling, camping and are very active in their Church, Greenville Grace. Patty also enjoys collecting recipes, crafts, reading mysteries, and spending time with family and friends.


Michelle is a 3-6 teacher. She has worked at DeColores since 1993. Michelle has an Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Development, along with a NAMC International Montessori Teaching Diploma in Montessori Early Childhood. She and her husband have 2 children, Ashley and Christopher. Her greatest joy is being a grandma to her three grandsons, Blake, Bentley & Connor. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with my family and cheering on her grandsons in their sports endeavors. Michelle's favorite vacation spot is Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Lydia Murphy

Lydia joined the 3-6 DeColores team in 2023 after previously teaching Kindergarten and First Grade for six years. She graduated from Ball State University with her degree in Early Childhood Education and also received her Montessori Certification from ADMTEI. Lydia and her husband, Alex, have three children, Selah, Eva & Harrison. Some of her favorite things to do include being with family, enjoying time outside, crafting and drawing.
Jessica has been a Montessori teacher since 2023. She has completed Montessori training in Spring of 2024 with ADMTEI. Jessica is currently completing her Associate in Elementary Education. She has two sons enrolled at DeColores, Jude & Fynn. In their freetime, Jessica and her husband, Dakota enjoy watching the boys in sports, watching baseball, and spending time with family.

Mae is an assistant teacher at DeColores, working mainly with Michelle, Heather & Lauren. She loves getting to spend her days with all of the sweet kiddos. Watching them grow and achieve their goals. Outside of the classroom, Mae enjoys spending time with friends, staying active, cheering on OSU and the Bengals, singing, and playing the guitar. She keeps a vanilla latte in hand while doing it all :)

Heather is an AMS/MACTE-certified Montessori guide who teaches in the 3-6 classroom at DeColores. A Greenville native and graduate of Greenville High School, Heather loves inspiring young children to grow in confidence, independence, and curiosity each day. Her twin boys also attend DeColores, making the school a true extension of her family. Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her husband and kids on their mini farm.

Lauren is a life-long Montessorian and has enjoyed teaching in both Florida and Ohio. Her daughter Dahlia is a third-grade student at DeColores. In her free time, Lauren enjoys painting, sewing, gardening, and being at home with her family.

Tammy Adkins has been a teacher at DeColores Montessori since 2018. She received her Bachelor in Early Childhood Education from WSU in 2016 and she has also completed NAMC Montessori Training for 6-9 Certification. Tammy has been married to her high school sweetheart Mike for 12 years and together they have two children - Micah and Anne. Both of their children have been attending DeColores Montessori since they were toddlers. In her free time Tammy enjoys spending time with her family and watching Micah at karate. She also enjoys baking, reading, walking, crafting, puzzles, and gardening.


Jacqueline studied nursing at Edison Community College. She earned her associate degree in nursing in December 2010 and worked as an RN from January 2011 to August 2023, specializing in geriatrics and hospice care. Working with children has always been a passion of hers, and she finally decided to make that move when she started at Decolores Montessori in August 2023. While her main focus is not nursing anymore, Jacqueline offers a wealth of knowledge for school-based nursing when needed. She and her husband Levi were married in October 2011 and have four children, Michael, Miah, Molly, and Mathew. All of their children have attended Decolores from the start of their education, where they have thrived! Jacqueline loves to watch her children at their sporting events and dance recitals. Reading is a hobby of hers if she ever gets the time!

Stacy has been at DeColores since 2022. She is married to Drew and has three children. Stacy enjoys reading and gardening when she is not teaching. Stacy has earned her Bachelor of Education K-8, her Special Education K-12 and will complete her Lower and Upper Elementary Masters Degree by the end of the 205/26 School Year.

Logan is a graduate of DeColores Montessori, Greenville High School, and Wright State University. He enjoys watching football, rooting for the Colts on Sunday, and catching fish on the weekends. Logan came back to DeColores in 2022 to teach at the elementary levels.

Terry is a teacher at DeColores Montessori School for students ages 6–12. He teaches history, geography, woodworking, and shop skills, and is passionate about inspiring his students alongside two exceptional colleagues. In his woodworking and shop classes, students build problem-solving and creativity by designing and crafting projects like birdhouses or the colonial village, while honing practical math skills and critical thinking through precise measurements and project planning. His decade as a general contractor and business owner brings real-world experience to my teaching, helping students connect hands-on skills to everyday life. Terry is married to Kimberly, and their son, Logan, a DeColores graduate, now teaches here too. In his free time, he is a dedicated Indianapolis Colts fan and loves fishing and boating. Terry feels privileged to be part of our students’ lives and the vibrant DeColores community!
Becky is married to Craig Dusek and they have two teenage sons. Both boys attended DeColores through 9th grade. Samuel is a Biology major at Mt. Vernon Nazarene University and Joseph is finishing high school in Hagerstown, Indiana. Becky has been teaching for almost 30 years, and started with DeColores in 2016. Becky enjoys reading, camping, and visiting the beach in her spare time.

Chris Elliott has been a teacher at Decolores for 24 years. She moved to Greenville with her husband Dan almost 28 years ago. She has a son, Drew who attended DeColores from preschool through 8th grade, and a daughter Isabel who started in the toddler room through 8th Grade. Drew is grown and lives in Columbus with his wife, Natalie and son, Theo. Isabel graduated from college last year and is working in Indianapolis. Chris enjoys spending time with her family (especially her grandson!) and being outside with her 2 horses, 2 cats and 3 dogs.​​
Melanie Miller has been part of DeColores Montessori since 2007 and loves teaching at the Farm Campus. She especially enjoys leading Socratic seminars, guiding science labs, and challenging students in math. Melanie holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Wright State University, is licensed in Middle Childhood Education with concentrations in Math, Science, and Reading, and has Montessori Secondary I & II training. She is also continuing her studies in computer science education. Melanie and her husband, Ted, live on a small farm with their four children. When she’s not teaching, she enjoys cheering on her kids at sporting events, gardening, food preservation, and cooking.
Jason has been a Montessori teacher since 2007. He enjoys international travel, mostly to Spanish-speaking countries. In his free time he enjoys outdoor activities, especially training and exercising his dogs.

Mark Graber is a DeColores Alum and has passionate interests in sustainable and regenerative agriculture. He is an experienced violinist and beekeeper. Mark provides botany and zoology lessons for all DeColores Students toddlers through 9th grade.

Betsy began teaching at DeColores in 2019. She graduated from Versailles High School and has a Bachelor's of Music in Music Education from Capital University. She has also earned her Level 1 Kodály certificate. Betsy is married to JJ and they have three children, Jed, Leni, and June. In her spare time, she loves to camp, sew and garden.

Kathy has been a music teacher since moving to Greenville in 1977. She has a Bachelor of Music Degree and a Master's Degree in the Art of Education.
